It also comes with the choice of two different facemask. The patented AirSwitch facemask makes switching from ambient air to cylinder air instantaneous simply by pushing down on a switch to change modes, thus conserving air. The new RDV (removable demand valve) facemask goes back to the standard of having a removable regulator for users needing an APR (air purifying respirator) facemask by using a simple adapter to convert the facemask from a positive to a negative pressure device. The Z Seven’s unique Voice Amplification System (VAS) has ten distinct microphone settings and no breathing interference, so every transmission is crystal clear. All of the weight of the complete Z Seven backframe (less than 23 lbs with carbon cylinder) is designed to be worn on the user’s hips, allowing for easier motion and reduced stress on the shoulders.
